After another round of encouraging meetings today, I’ve decided never again to give away substantial portions of my time and attention to people who are not interesting, not passionate about something, and/or not contageously enthusiastic. Well, one can only dream… (sigh)
I had a very dangerous conversation with a friend last night at dinner… dangerous because his enthusiasm whipped me into a frenzy that had me on the verge of dropping everything instantly and focusing 100% on my Project. Seeing his fire and enthusiasm for HIS Project is contageous. Today I had lunch with Sheilagh and I walked away ready to cram some blog repair/upgrades in the 3-day weekend. A couple of quick asides: I’m rebuilding […]
… it’s best to just steamroll through, disregard the pieces as they fall off, and get to your final destination with trumpets blaring. Every single day, I grin and bear it. I can look myself in the mirror and know that I am putting WAY more than my fair share of positive energy in the world. More than a lot of people I know – and it takes its toll – long, thankless hours, stress, […]

Running into pMachine Woes: Cannot ping by category. RSS admin is a lot less flexible. (can’t do full text without a lot of hacking) Some buggy bits. I just need another cram session where I jam through a bunch of these issues. Maybe I’ll be inspired to get some work in before tomorrow’s blog meetup.

It’s a little bit different in that your $14.00 subscription will only let you stream music (alhtough it caches regularly listened-to stuff locally in a proprietary format). i don’t think they have a non-windows player, but I could be wrong. Their catalog is HUGE, but not exhaustive… I tend to find enough stuff there to make it worth my while […]
would it be interesting and useful for me to share my workplan for my job here? Hmmmm…
I took a friend’s advice and gave myself permission to relax for an hour after coming home for work (about 7:00). I tivo’d a shark attack documentary (discovery channel shark week)… next thing I knew… I woke up at 7:00AM this morning… I slept like a baby for 12 hours! I’m not even on a polyphasic sleep schedule anymore! Could this mean I’m burnt out? I didn’t sleep well on Sunday or Monday night (caffeine […]
