This is my iguana (about 10" Snout to Vent, so about 2 years old) after he was spritzed with Bio-Mist, an aloe vera and cactus juice concoction that helps his skin. He’s molting now, so this is a look of pure joy.
Sometimes I wish I was an iguana.
Iguanas really like collard greens and mustard greens.
It makes them grow big and plump and green.
They’ll happily eat lettuce and carrots, but those are like Whataburger – delicious, but nutritionally bankrupt.
I’m sorry, Iggy. You and I will eat better from now on.
Late last year, I inherited a baby iguana from my brother’s friend.
His name is Iggy… I don’t particularly like that name, but I wouldn’t want to change it lest I confuse his reptilian brain.
He has officially outgrown his crib. His tail gets curled up when he tries to turn around. I’m on a mission to build him a more humane place to live that will let him stretch his dewlap.
